Determining the truth behind "Made in America" claims can be challenging in today's world of misleading marketing. To verify such claims, I recommend contacting the manufacturer and requesting a factory visit. An honest American manufacturer would welcome you and proudly show you their production process.
In my 35 years in the billiard and game room industry, I initially supported suppliers who made products in the USA. However, 20 years ago, I noticed that 80% of what I was buying came from China. This prompted us to source directly from China about 15 years ago for our retail stores. While we attempted to manufacture McClure Shuffleboard Tables in China, we faced quality control and logistical issues. Thus, we decided to bring production back to our factory in the USA, investing significantly in equipment and supporting our employees.
It’s frustrating when distributors claim their shuffleboard tables are made in the USA when only some parts may be domestic. According to FTC guidelines, "all or virtually all" means that significant parts and processing should come from the U.S. If a manufacturer claims their product is "Made in the USA," they must have reasonable evidence to support that claim.
On our McClure Tables website, you’ll find images of custom-made tables we built for our customers, showcasing our commitment to quality. We understand that consumers want value, but misleading claims can manipulate that desire. At McClure Tables, our family name represents our dedication to quality. We handle every aspect of production ourselves, ensuring that each shuffleboard table reflects our craftsmanship before it is shipped out.

Next time you visit a shuffleboard site that is offering shuffleboard tables, which they say are made in the USA, call them up. Ask them if you can take a factory tour and visit their factory, where they make the shuffleboard tables. Ask them for some pictures of WIP (work in process). Not just the fancy website images of the finished product. Ask for pictures like these, not just finished product pictures.

You are welcome to stop by and visit McClure Tables Shuffleboard Factory for a tour at anytime. We often have customers call to ask whether we are open on Saturdays or have a showroom. My answer is "No, we do not have a showroom, but I will open the factory up for you to visit on a Saturday." However, we are a factory, and our hours are not retail; the guys start at 6:00 AM and finish at 4:30 PM Eastern time. We work four-day workweeks, giving them more personal time. During the busy season and holidays, we will step up to a five-day workweek. Please visit the page here for contact information to visit our shuffleboard Table Factory.
