The Limbert Series was inspired by Charles Limbert, a famous Arts and Crafts furniture designer who opened his factory in Grand Rapids in 1902. McClure Tables, located in Grand Rapids, builds this table from ribbon-cut mahogany wood featuring dovetail joinery on the corners. This honors Limbert's legacy of exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail.

We construct each Limbert table from premium ribbon-cut mahogany. This distinctive wood features beautiful ribbon-like grain patterns that create visual depth and character. Furthermore, mahogany's rich reddish-brown tones and natural luster provide timeless elegance.

The dovetail joinery on the corners showcases traditional craftsmanship techniques. These interlocking joints provide exceptional strength while displaying the artisan's skill. Moreover, the exposed dovetails honor Arts and Crafts design principles that celebrate honest construction.

The main beam of the table is made with curved bending in a form of the mahogany wood. This steam-bending technique creates graceful curves while maintaining structural integrity. Additionally, the horse collar features black leather pads standard with black carpeting for a refined appearance.

The playboard is 3" thick, solid, rock-hard maple, locally sourced from Michigan hardwoods. We seal the playing surface with our specially formulated traditional finish that carries a lifetime warranty. This professional-grade finish ensures smooth, consistent gameplay for decades.
