His experience spans every aspect of shuffleboard craftsmanship — from wood selection and construction to playability, maintenance, and long-term durability.

Under Todd’s leadership, McClure Tables has grown into a trusted name for residential and commercial shuffleboard tables built in the USA.

Through the McClure Tables blog, Todd shares practical, straightforward advice on shuffleboard selection, maintenance, rules, and installation — helping customers make informed decisions and protect their investment.

Lessons in Craftsmanship and Integrity

He also grew up learning about integrity.

When Todd was about 12 years old, he came home excited after finishing his paper route. He had found a $20 bill while cutting through a neighbor’s backyard.

Proud of his discovery, he showed his dad.

His dad asked where he found it. When Todd explained it was in the neighbor’s yard, his father took him by the ear and said, “Come with me.”

He made Todd knock on the neighbor’s door and explain that he had found the money in their yard.

The neighbor wasn’t sure if he had lost it, but he offered to split it.

The lesson wasn’t about the twenty dollars.

It was about integrity.

It wasn’t “finders keepers.”
It wasn’t Todd’s yard.
It wasn’t Todd’s to claim.

That moment stayed with him.

Doing things the right way — even when no one is watching — became a standard, not a suggestion.

Experience & Craftsmanship

Todd McClure didn’t grow up planning to build shuffleboard tables.

He grew up around hard work.

Woodworking wasn’t a marketing angle — it was something learned over time. Lessons picked up alongside his dad. Watching how things were measured, cut, assembled, and respected. Learning that if you’re going to build something, you build it right.

Those early lessons stayed with him.

Years later, after working in the game room industry and seeing how many products were being rushed, outsourced, and built to hit a price instead of a standard, Todd made a decision:

If he was going to put his name on something, it had to be done differently.

McClure Tables wasn’t created to be the biggest.
It was created to be built right.

Every table is made with that same mindset — solid hardwoods, careful construction, attention to how it plays and how it will age over decades. No shortcuts. No hollow cores. No racing to the bottom.

Todd still stays close to the work. Not because he has to — but because he wants to. Craftsmanship isn’t a department. It’s a responsibility.

Over the years, McClure Tables has been featured in industry publications and recognized for its commitment to American-made quality. But for Todd, the most important thing has always been simple:

Build something you’d be proud to put in your own home.

Outside the shop, Todd spends time with family and on the farm — places where the pace is slower and the values are the same: take care of what you have, do things the right way, and don’t cut corners.

That philosophy carries into every table built.

Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about making a product.

It’s about standing behind your name.
