For Traditional Wood Playboards (like McClure Tables): Flat to recessed bottom pucks provide the smoothest, most consistent glide.

For Polymer/Epoxy Boards: Pointed bottoms are more effective at dissipating static electricity between plastic wax beads and polymer surfaces, especially in dry spots.
