- Faster Speed: Pointed stainless steel (.01) - excellent for polymer boards
- Fast Speed: Slightly pointed chrome-plated (+.05) - our standard puck
- Fastest Speed: Flat base (.00) - maximum speed on well-maintained boards
Choosing the Right Bottom Style:
For Traditional Wood Playboards (like McClure Tables): Flat to recessed bottom pucks provide the smoothest, most consistent glide.
For Polymer/Epoxy Boards: Pointed bottoms are more effective at dissipating static electricity between plastic wax beads and polymer surfaces, especially in dry spots.
Chrome-Plated vs. Stainless Steel Bases:
- Chrome-Plated (this product): 344-345 grams with plastic caps - our standard option
- Stainless Steel: 310-312 grams with plastic caps - lighter weight, less wear over time
Note: All weights listed are with plastic caps. Aluminum caps add slight weight and are purely cosmetic.
